Terms of Use
Welcome. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of theamsterdamian.com and any related services, including our loyalty program, reservations, gift cards, event tickets, waitlist, and SMS program. By using the site or any of these services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
1. Eligibility
Our bar serves alcohol. You must be 21 years of age or older to enter the bar premises and to use any service tied to ordering alcohol. By making a reservation, joining loyalty, or purchasing a gift card, you confirm that you meet this age requirement (or are giving a gift to someone who does).
2. Reservations & cancellations
Reservations are confirmed via email at the address you provide. We hold each table for 15 minutes past the booking time as a courtesy; after that, the table may be released to walk-ins.
To change or cancel a reservation, reply to your confirmation email or call the bar. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations on parties of 6 or more so we can rebook the table.
3. Card holds for large parties & private events
For reservations of 8 or more guests, and for private events, we may collect a credit card on file at the time of booking via our payment processor, Stripe. This card is held but not charged at the time of booking.
A no-show fee may be charged to the card on file if:
- You do not arrive and do not contact us within 30 minutes of your booking time; or
- You cancel within 24 hours of your booking time.
The exact amount of the no-show fee is shown to you on the reservation form before you confirm the booking. By submitting a reservation that requires a card hold, you authorize us to charge the displayed fee to that card if either of the above happens.
4. Waitlist
Adding yourself to the walk-in waitlist via QR or at the host stand is a courtesy queue, not a guaranteed seat. We’ll notify you by email (and, where you’ve opted in, by SMS) the moment a table opens. We expect waiting parties to return within 10 minutes of being notified; otherwise the table may be released to the next party in line.
5. Loyalty program
Our loyalty program logs your visits via a QR pass that’s scanned by staff. Rewards unlock at the visit milestones listed on the loyalty page. We may adjust the reward tiers at our discretion (with notice on the website). Visits and unlocked rewards do not expire as long as your account is active. Loyalty accounts inactive for 24 months may be archived.
Loyalty is for the individual who created the account. Pass sharing is at our discretion to recognize at the bar.
6. Gift cards
Gift cards purchased online are delivered by email and may be applied toward food and drink at the bar. Gift cards are not refundable once purchased, may not be redeemed for cash (except where required by law), and have no expiration date. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced unless they were registered to a loyalty account.
7. Event tickets
Event tickets are sold via Stripe Checkout. By default, tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled or rescheduled by us, in which case we’ll process a full refund to the original payment method. Ticket transfers between guests are permitted via our loyalty pass.
8. SMS program
If you opt in to receive SMS from us, we will send you transactional messages only — reservation confirmations, “your table is ready” notifications when you’re on the waitlist, ticket and gift card receipts, and direct replies to inquiries. We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional messages.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe; reply HELP for assistance. We do not sell or share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

9. Intellectual property
The Amsterdamian name, logo, and all site content (text, photos, menus, designs) are owned by The Amsterdamian, LLC and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of it for commercial purposes without written permission. Personal social-media sharing of photos taken at the bar is welcome and encouraged.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site or any service in any way that violates applicable law.
- Submit false or misleading information to any of our forms.
- Attempt to access non-public areas of the site, our database, or our internal systems.
- Interfere with the operation of the site, including via automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.).
- Harass our staff or other guests through any communication channel.
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel reservations, suspend loyalty accounts, or refund and decline gift card or ticket purchases for any user who violates these Terms.
11. Disclaimers
The site and services are provided "as is." We make no warranties about uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to keep the site running and accurate, but downtime, scheduling errors, or sold-out events can happen.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Amsterdamian, LLC, its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any service. Our maximum total liability for any single claim is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use of the site or services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
