Genever, or jenever, is the Netherlands’ national spirit and the predecessor to modern gin, with a maltier, smoother character. We keep several variations, so ask for our special selection if you are curious.
What is Red Light Night?
Red Light Night is our late-night celebration inspired by Amsterdam's famous Red Light District, with DJs, themed cocktails and shooters and playful dares on our Wheel of Dares. It is usually ticketed; see Events for upcoming dates.
Who founded The Amsterdamian?
The Amsterdamian was founded by Martin Terporten, a Dutch native with more than 18 years in craft bartending and hospitality, who set out to create the kind of neighbourhood cocktail bar he would visit as a local in Amsterdam.
